Gandhi's Christ quote stamp

Description

"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ"
Mohandas Gandhi

I think this is one of my favorite quotes that is often ascribed to Gandhi [there is some debate about that I also sometimes use the quote and attributed it to "anonymous" , so simple yet truthful. While, as an atheist I do not believe in "Christ" or for me personally do not even believe in his existence. I do think as the quote says if more Christians were "Christ like" they would not be such dicks.

I think the quote in general sums up my feelings on Christianity as a whole.... yes, I am sure I will get some who agree, and some who disagree... yet if you disagree, then post your own stamp, I can do without the "oh you're wrong blah blah blah"

I am sure I will get the, oh you're an atheist blah blah blah... you have no say on religious blah blah blah.

As an atheist, speaking only for me and some I have known. We don’t care who you worship, be it Christ, Allah, whatever. As long as you’re not a dick about it, or think yourself to be superior because of your religious beliefs then many atheists do not care either way.. oh and not trying to intertwine the law with religion and things of that nature, then by all means have fun with it.

Since I know I may get asked about my views on religion, I will just link you here…

A friend asked me to make this stamp when I showed her the quote, so that she can put it on her deviant art page. So if you want to fave it, that would be cool, if not.. that is also cool.

as a christian i have to give credit where do, and admit that Gandhi was right in alot of way concerning how many Christians behave.

however, its worth pointing out that it makes little sense to point out the flaws, failings and misdeads of a religion's practitioners, who go against the foundations of said teachings ..and use it as argument against the faith itself....as many have done as a means opposal to various religions

if a student fails to take in the lessons of the teacher, either due to apathy or willing disregard of what was being taught is it the student's fault or the teacher's?
