Answering them Clinton questions

I was asked to do a journal on what I think of the media calling it for Clinton. Not fully surprised. Though they keep saying she has already "clinched" it not entirely true, as of right now she is 571 pledged delegates away from clinching it as such she has not "clinched it"

Would she most likely have at the Convention, sure, will she tonight? Unlikely but time will always tell.

Today here are the States voting and their delegate totals
California : 475
New Jersey : 126
New Mexico: 34
Montana: 21
South Dakota : 20
North Dakota: 18

Now, to fully clinch the nomination, to get 2,382 to win, she will need to pick up 571 of the694 pledged delegates that will be awarded today.. she will not get it. Clinton current has 1,811 delegates according to 538 projects.fivethirtyeight.com/e…

Another question I got yesterday was, so since the media is calling it for Clinton will you be voting for her?
Um, have you seen my last few journals going back weeks? No, I will not be voting for a Clinton or a Trump, if you wish to then that is great, you have the right to your vote

either way I am sure my family will be sent to some war. It is damn near impossible for me to think Trump would not send our troops somewhere.. .yet Clinton already wants thousands upon thousands of more troops in Iraq and Syria for her no-fly zone.. so either way more of my family will be sent to this or that conflict and may die. .. so I will pass on both of em.

My personal favorite which was told me to yesterday
IF YOU DO NOT VOTE FOR CLINTON THEN YOU ARE A SEXIST!!

hmm so does not voting for Sanders makes her anti-semitic?

The issue with many Clintonites is they view her as a FEMALE politician, rather than just a politician and every criticism of Clinton they try to make it because she is a woman rather than addressing the actual criticism.

As I spoke of before, and as someone told me yesterday when I said we need voting reforms, they lashed at me
YOU ARE JUST ANGRY THAT SANDERS  DID NOT WIN SO YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE RULES

um, if anyone has known me on here .. I have been saying we should change the rules for YEARS especially because of where I am .. this was long before Sanders was running.

Since taxpayer money are used to put on these State elections, then every eligible voter should be able to vote in them. I am in New York, so my tax money goes towards elections at which since I am not in a party I cannot vote in.

For the future, for democracy's sake. If my tax money is utilized to put on your show, saying I must be in a certain party to buy a ticket to the show makes no sense.

If Political parties want closed primaries, then the Party itself should pick up 100% of the cost, and utilize no tax money from the State to put it on
Some changes I would  love to see in the future:
Get rid of super delegates, the republicans for the most part have done away with their SD times for the Dems to follow through

Switch from caucuses to primaries. I appreciate caucuses, the whole standing around and discussing and arguing for your candidate, I really appreciate it, but in the future .. in a country that increases its population by 2 million a year, I think eventually we will just move to a primary voting structure.

all primaries should be open

The should be to make voting easier, not hinder it. If you are of the 18, then should be automatically registered to vote, you should not have to join a party where your tax money is used to put on an election to vote in said election.

"But by not voting for Clinton, isn't that helping trump?"

Another question I get,
Let me ask you, if I am to continue with this logic...
By my not then voting for Trump, is that helping Clinton?

If a candidate fails to get the required votes in an election, your question should generally be two things, was the system fair, and why did they not get the requisite general election votes.

"If you do not vote for the first woman president then you are a sexist"
Is what I got from a facebook friend's friend.

Wait.. wait.. so if I choose not to vote for someone who happens to be a woman.. it is sexism?

Now you can look at my last few journals, where I said she may very well get the nomination, but her getting the nomination does not erase her history .. now I see Obama said he will not release her emails on TPP until after the election.. why? You want informed citizens yet will hold off something that may hinder their wishing to vote for her until after the elections?

She still has not released the transcripts of what she said to financial institutions that have paid billions in their role in nearly crashing our economy yet claims to be the most transparent running.

So if she wins the nomination and if she is the President, I will do what I have done with Obama .. say what I agree with and speak with what I disagree with.

A Clinton supporter once told me that I should vote for Clinton in a Clinton v Trump because she is the lesser of two evils

um.. you cast the person you support as the lesser of two evils.. so are you voting FOR HER or simply AGAINST TRUMP?
=============+

At the end of the day, you have to make your own choices. I know many Sanders supporting friends that said if Hillary gets it they will vote for her.. okay .

I know those like myself that will not be voting for a Clinton or a Trump will either do a write-in or vote third party...

You have your own choices to make on who you will vote for.

I love the all party should be open idea. I am registered as a Republican in my state, and since KY primaries are closed I couldn't back Bernie. I only registered that way in 2012 because I wanted to help  out Ron Paul. If there is one thing I cannot stand is Clinton playing the woman card. I don't mind a woman president, as long as she can do the job. If a man can do it better, well TS, I go off merit not what is in your pants. I don't think Hillary can do the job. Nuff said. And I could really use the Universal Health care thing. With a seizure disorder, they gouge your rates or if you go without you can't afford meds. Mine would be like 400 a month without insurance, plus about 200 every 3 months to see the doctor plus whatever my tax penalty would be. It's getting close to 600 now....... And working at TurboTax as Tax Support, I know how the penalty hurts people when you hear the stories. Oh and how the IRS screws with you if you forget your 1095A. But in that same vein, insurance can be near 400 a month anyway. So I am stuck either not making enough to get off Medicaid or paying so much for insurance that I have to live like I am impoverished when I am not. All because I got a bad gene when I was concieved. (As if I could stop my dad's sperm cells and get the bad ones out.....) So yeah I am kind of pissed when I am forced to live in poverty in one way or another because of my genetics, not to mention the fact I worked hard in school thinking it would pay off when it paid for college when NOPE! I need that BA to take my EA to CPA and when I would come out burdened with so much debt, it's nuts! Heck I concede to free community college to get a start but still.
